Seems That Nokia have mutely launched firmware edition 20.149.051.1 for the Nokia N78.No official Changelog accessible though but these are the modifications that have been documented:
Changes/Improvements/New specs I have found from v12.046 to v20.149: Standby screen:
When you scan for wireless networks in the home screen, rather than telling “No networks found” as in the previous version, it tells “No WLANs accessible”, also a few other slight name modifications in this menu.
Sharing online image in Nokia N78 standby screen appears to be different
When returning to the music player through the standby screen, it goes instantly into the player without losing in/out changeover as it did before when Theme
Effects are activated (an immediate reaction)
On the other hand, for entering other parts of Nokia N78 from the standby screen the fade in/out changeover still takes place.
When Music Player is working, and finding the track name on the display, and then when one song stops and goes to the upcoming track, the pace at which this takes lace is much better, though not perfect (there is still some lag).
Scrolling up and down from side to side the entries in the standby screen high-speed and not time-consuming like before.
Call log, Contacts and calling function:
Calling speed (from standby screen to Contacts or Call Log) and changeover to call/disconnected displays much quicker and enhanced
Faster recommence of music playback after call is stopped is a lovely feature in new Nokia N78
Volume bar is switched from ten dotted augmentation to constant colored volume triangle (this has also been mirrored in other menus and choices all over the phone)
